Welcome. Let's get your Tracker Card connected.

You've got a PROOF Tracker Card - this page walks you through pairing it, charging it, and what to do if anything doesn't go as expected. It matches the Quick Start Guide in the box, so use whichever is easier to have open.

Setup & pair

  1. Power on

Press and hold the button for 5 seconds. A chime sounds and the LED blinks three times.

  2. Pair your phone

Before you start: turn on Bluetooth and Location Services on your phone, make sure you're on the latest OS update, and keep the card within a few inches of it during pairing. Find Hub needs Android 9 or newer (Android 12+ for the automatic pop-up below).

Power on the card first: press and hold its button for 5 seconds until you hear a chime and see the LED blink three times. Then follow the column for your phone below.

    iPhone - Find My

    1. Open the Find My app, tap the Items tab, tap the + in the top right corner, then tap Add Other Item.
    2. Hold the card close to your iPhone until it's detected, then tap Connect.
    3. Give it a name and emoji, tap Agree to link it to your Apple ID, then tap Finish.
    4. Occasionally a "Connect" pop-up appears on its own, the same way it would for AirPods or an AirTag, before you even open Find My - if that happens, just tap Connect and skip to step 3.

    Android - Find Hub

    1. If you haven't already, install Find Hub from the Google Play Store, then open it. Make sure Location Services, Bluetooth, and your Google account are all on and signed in.
    2. Hold the card close to your phone. A pairing pop-up should appear - tap Connect.
    3. On the "Use Responsibly" notice, tap Accept and Continue, then tap Done.
    4. No pop-up after a minute or two? Don't pair it from your phone's regular Bluetooth settings - that won't link it to Find Hub. Instead, restart your phone, make sure "Scan for nearby devices" is turned on in your Google/Devices settings, and keep the card close by - the prompt can take up to 10 minutes to appear.
    5. Still nothing? Check your phone's own nearby-devices list (press and hold the Bluetooth icon in your quick settings, or search "Connected devices" in Settings) - the card may be listed there waiting to connect. Tap it to bring up the same Connect prompt.

Dismissed a pairing pop-up twice, or paired/unpaired recently? Android can briefly suppress it - wait 5 minutes, then try again.

Screens above are simplified examples to show roughly what you'll see - the real prompt looks a little different depending on your phone's OS version. The card works with one network at a time, so reset it first if you need to switch from iPhone to Android or back.

Note: during pairing, the card may show up as "Patrisard Card" instead of PROOF. It's expected, doesn't affect how it pairs, tracks, or works, and you can rename it anytime on iPhone via "Change Name and Emoji" in the item's settings.
  3. You're connected

Slide it into any card slot - right behind the pull-tab in a PROOF Wallet is the natural spot.

Charging your card

Align the wireless charging area with the center of your Qi-compatible charger. A red light means it's charging; a green light means it's fully charged. No charger is included in the box - it works with any Qi charger you already own.

The battery level can be checked in your phone's app.

Troubleshooting

Tracker won't turn on

Double press the button. If there's no sound, press and hold for 5 seconds to power on.

Find Hub can't detect the tracker

Factory reset the tracker. If it still can't be found, restart your phone and try again.

Find My shows an error partway through setup

Remove the item from Find My, factory reset the card (press the button 4 times quickly, then press and hold until the second chime), then pair it again from scratch.

No charging light

Wait one minute, then check again.

Pairing to a new phone

Unpair the tracker from your current phone, then factory reset before pairing with the new one. This is also what to do before gifting or reselling a card.

Android Fast Pair pop-up won't reappear

If you've dismissed the pop-up twice, or paired and unpaired the card a few times in a row, Android can briefly suppress it. Wait 5 minutes, restart your phone, and make sure "Scan for nearby devices" is on in your Google/Devices settings - don't use your phone's regular Bluetooth pairing screen, since the card connects through Fast Pair instead.

Frequently asked questions

Can I switch it from iPhone to Android (or back)?

Yes. Factory reset the card, then pair it again on the other platform. It only works with one network at a time.

How long does the battery last?

Up to 6 months on a full charge. Charge it on any Qi-compatible wireless charger - no cables, no port. Keep an eye on the LED: red while charging, green when full.

Does it cost anything after I buy it?

No recurring fees. Location updates run entirely on Apple's and Google's free crowd-sourced networks - no PROOF app, no account, no subscription.
